Whitney lost a tooth!

Whitney lost her first tooth! How exciting! The Tooth Fairy will have to add us to the rounds for tonight!

Our little Whitney is growing up so fast! I remember when this tooth first came in when she was a baby. Time flies. I honestly feel a little nostalgic just thinking about it. She is so excited about the Tooth Fairy, and is trying to devise ways to be able to get a glimpse without being caught. Good thing these schemes are being verbalized! I love my kids so much, they bring me so much joy.

I love these paper clamps that have been mod-podged with cute paper and have FAMILY letters on them. I am going to take them to my office on campus for my assistantship and show off the munchins!
Our weekly menu board. The board has blackboard (or chalkboard) to write the menu out, and sheet metal so magnets could be attached. Hopefully I can stay a little better organized with this! :)
This quote is so perfect! Thank you to my mother-in-law for printing all of the vinyl that we will need to Super Saturday! I really appreciate her help, even though she is busy with school herself. Also, thanks to all the hands that are going to be put to work weeding the vinyl. Thank you! :)

I finally have a calling! I will be the RS Activity Chairman (err, woman). I will be sustained on Sunday, so keep it on the DL around Pullman. :) It is so nice to serve in the church. I am really looking forward to this opportunity!

Halloween

Brenton was adorable as our not-so-cowardly lion! What a cutie pie!

Here's all the gang at our ward trunk-or-treat.

Our little witch! Caitlin was not sure if she still wanted to be a witch the day of, but we convinced her that she could actually switch and be the good witch (Glenda) because of the pink in her costume and she bought it. Crisis averted! :)

Whitney was very excited to be Dorathy. We even got a little stuffed dog for her to be Toto, but I kept thinking that it would be fun to do the Wizard of Oz again someday when we have a great big dog!

I was the scarecrow...if I only had a brain! :)
Nicholas got very creative with his costume as the Tin Man. Spray paint, insulation, and some gray glitter later, we had a great Tin Man. I love my husband and how much fun he makes life!

Here we are at Daniel and Erin's ward trunk-or-treat. It was inside, which was welcome after the rain at ours.

They even had some fun games, like doughnuts on a string. Caitlin really enjoyed it!

So did Whitney, I mean, Dorathy.

Carving pumpkins

For FHE on October 11th we carved pumpkins with Daniel and Erin's family.
Whitney was a little hesitant to dig in and get her hands dirty! Silly love! :)

Caitlin, however, was ready to go!

It was so fun to have Daniel and Erin's family join us. Erin was taking care of Colson and taking pictures for us. Thanks, Erin.

Nicholas and Caitlin were a team...

and Whitney and I were a team.

Our bat!

Nicholas and Caitlin's ghost.

The girls were very proud of the pumpkins! And we had a blast!

Caitlin's field trip

Caitlin went on a field trip with her pre-school class. They went to the WSU apple orchard and walked around and were able to pick out a few apples. We went that morning because my first class was canceled, but unfortunately the field trip got a really late start because they had to ferry the kids over one small bus load at a time because the big bus was in the shop. By the time we had to leave, they were just unloading the last group of kids (with Caitlin's cousin, Ava) and were ready to head into the orchard. Alas, the only pictures we have are of Caitlin waiting in line and dancing, but another parent took some of her that I need to get and add. She said she had a great time and really enjoyed it!

Our little cutie. While we waited for more kids to come, the kids sang songs. When they asked what to sing next, Caitlin called out "Scripture Power," which of course the teachers did not know. Another little kid called out "Popcorn Popping," which one of the teachers did know and as they sang you could totally hear which kids were LDS. It was cute.

Caitlin starts pre-school

Caitlin stared pre-school today!

Her infamous growl smile. LOL!

Our little cutie!

Caitlin went straight for the markers!

Caitlin loves the school bus. Each night at dinner we go around and tell our highs and lows for the day, and Caitlin will frequently state that getting on the bus was her high, and getting off the bus was her low. We obviously prode her for more, but if left to her own, the bus experience would define her day! :)

Caitlin and Ava are in the same class, and get to ride the bus together to school, along with friends in the complex.

Whitney's b-day!

Whitney's cake.

Our little Whitney turned 6 this year! Crazy! We had just moved to WA, so she didn't really have a lot of friends yet, so we had a simple party with family but it was wonderful.

Our little angel is growing up way too fast!

Opening a present.

Brenton is one!

I can't believe how fast the year has flown by: Brenton turned one on August 10th! We had dinner for him and Daniel, Erin, and family came. He LOVED his cake! He was devouring it by the fistfuls! Definitely a boy! We love him and his sweet, teethy smile! Pictures to follow when I crop and edit them and get them posted.

Brenton loved his cake!

Sorry this is blurry, but it is the best shot that we have. Here is Brenton's first birthday cake!

Yummy!

Wait, I want more!
He ended up a complete mess! What fun! It is hard to believe that he is already a year old. Time flies!

Whitney's Kindergarten graduation

For the ceremony, the kids sang a few cute songs, and Whitney was adorable and had been practicing the songs at home for a month in advance. "Start spreading the news, we're leavin' today, we want to be a part of it.....1st grade, 1st grade" set to the tune for New York, New York.

Whitney with her teachers, Mrs. Garrett and Mrs. Miller. She was able to have fantastic teachers, and she loved them!

Next stop, 1st grade....
